About us
Built in Kampala, at home in the whole Pearl
GoPearl International exists for one reason: East Africa is best shown by the people who are from it.
Winston Churchill called Uganda the Pearl of Africa, and then the world spent a century flying past it. We started GoPearl to fix that — a travel company headquartered on Kimathi Avenue in Kampala, not in a capital eight time zones away, building journeys across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda.
Everything we sell, someone on our team has done: the pre-dawn trek, the crater-lake swim, the long murram road and the lodge at the end of it. When we say a month is wrong for a route, or that the cheaper permit is the better story, it comes from muddy boots rather than a reseller's margin sheet.
We are licensed by the Uganda Tourism Board and members of AUTO and ATTA. Bookings confirm only after we have verified permits and availability — we take no deposit to start a conversation.

Local first
Our guides, drivers and planners are from the regions we work in. The person showing you Bwindi grew up beside it — that difference is the product.
Honest itineraries
We would rather talk you out of a bad month than sell you a perfect brochure. Real drive times, real prices, no invented urgency.
Small footprint
Small groups, community-owned stays where they exist, park fees paid in full. Tourism should leave the Pearl better than it found it.
