We don't hire guides for destinations. We build destinations around guides worth travelling for.
Ask anyone about their best trip and they will tell you about a person before they mention a place. That is the entire premise of GoPearl: recruit the trackers, birders, drivers and storytellers other companies book when their own clients complain — then give them the time and pay to do their best work. You will meet your guide by name before you land; their briefing on your route is part of every confirmation.
Licensed, always
Every lead guide holds a Uganda Wildlife Authority or equivalent national licence, current first-aid certification, and years on their home ground before they ever lead for us.
Specialists, not generalists
Birding mornings get a birder. Primate treks get a tracker who knows the families by face. History walks in Kampala get someone who lived it or grew up on the stories.
Paid properly
Guides are the product, so they are paid like it — above-market day rates, tips 100% theirs, and the same lodges and meals as the travellers they lead.
Your guide, the whole way
One lead guide travels with you end to end wherever routes allow. By day three they know your pace, your coffee order and exactly when to stop the car.
